My first customer!

I received my very first order Last Tuesday from one of my neighbors! A dozen red velvet and a dozen of my famous Angel food cake with Strawberry Cream cheese frosting.  I was soooo grateful because he ordered them just to pass out and get my name out there! Thanks Mel!

With these Key Lime Cupcakes, you'll be dreaming of blue waters and sunsets sitting under your favorite palm tree.  I made these with real Key Lime and Cream cheese, and then I took crushed graham crackers and coated the top for an even more beachy feel.   :) These are delicious and will be on my future menu forever, even during the winter, because hey who couldn't use some summer in the middle of 25 degree weather <3

A recipe worth the price

That's right, I actually paid for a cupcake recipe.  Before you put the hand to the head and shake in disapproval, 100% of the proceeds went to provide clean water to a community over seas, so I was happy to oblige.  These cupcakes were/are phenominal, and I love any chance I can get to make them.  They tasted like a giant reeses cup and were so decadent I could barely finish a whole one with out a glass of milk or coffee to wash it down, but I was happy to take on the challenge at any cost. :)
So here is a picture of the Chocolate Peanut butter cupcake with Peanut butter frosting, dipped in chocolate... oh my my my, if I wasn't in the middle of trying to perfect another cupcake recipe I would making these instead.  These are going to be a favorite I can already tell.

And if that wasn't enough to get your mouth watering, this should do the trick....The glorious inside of the cupcake, yummmmmmmmmmmmmy

Red Lady Katie Bug cakes

AKA Red Velvet with Cream cheese frosting.  This specific cupcake is dedicated to my mini-me, my niece Katie Bug.  Now don't ask me how she ended up with all of my looks and personality but I pray my sister can handle her.  :) Love you sis.....and I offer up this apology ahead of time for Katie turning 16 and testing your patience to the limits. 

On a side note, I added milk chocolate drizzle to the tops and it brought out the cocoa even more in the red velvet, and who doesn't love more cocoa?!

Pretty Cakes

These are just so darn pretty I had to post them, I made Chocolate cupcakes with Cream cheese frosting and added red food coloring to the frosting to make pink, awwww! Oh and added some cute cute cute white sprinkles.  I hope the ladies at my hubby's work enjoyed them!

Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha Cupcakes

If that doesn't make you smile, then check your pulse my friend.  I was inspired by my wonderful sister and her obsession with this drink at starbucks every Christmas season.  So I gave it a go... the end result was moist, minty, choco-latteeeeee goodness. Oh and next time I want to add mint to any of my cupcakes I will buy in the off season, because trying to find mint extract around the holidays is nearly impossible.  Lesson learned. 

I will tweek these next time and add more expresso powder and use real starbucks coffee, I think these two elements would send this recipe over the top.  Thought out loud - I should serve these as a seasonal cupcake in my shop ... duh?!
